At New College School we are proud of the quality of our meals. All of our food is locally sourced, delivered daily and freshly prepared by our Chef-in Charge, Mr Darren Greenfield, and his team, under the general direction of New College's catering operation. We offer a mix of traditional British dishes and more contemporary cuisine. Roasts and chicken pie are on the menu alongside pasta dishes and curries. There are hot meat and vegetarian options each day and salads and jacket potatoes are available too. As a small school, we always try to meet the needs of the children. The boys seem to like it: 90% choose to eat school lunches rather than bring their own sandwiches. New College School’s catering department’s menus are created to provide “Food and Wellbeing”, focusing on the importance of educating primary school-age children, in order to encourage healthy, lifelong eating habits. Menus are based on a three weekly rota basis; however they are subject to availability and seasonal variations.
