The library was buzzing with our annual book quizzes, and Mrs Hess’s special assembly brought the boys’ attention to the many different book prizes out there — a great way for children to learn about the new books that are coming out, and which ones are probably worth a read. And, of course, there were the usual dressing up festivities, with the boys coming to school dressed as some of their favourite literary characters. The SLT took inspiration from textbooks about Tudor history to come dressed as members of the Henrician court: Dr Jenkinson as Henry VIII, Miss Krebs as Anne Boleyn, Mr Neal as Cardinal Wolsey, and Mr Morrison as a rather fetching Anne of Cleves.
