Getting Involved
Parents play a crucial role at New College School. We strongly value the contributions they make to the life of the School, whether it be on the touchline at our weekly sports fixtures, or at our larger Parents' Association events. We believe in the value of communication between parents and School at every juncture, ensuring that the boys' best interests are kept at the heart of what we do.
The Parents’ Association acts both as an important liaison between parents and school and also as a community focus for a number of social and fund-raising activities for NCS families.
Parent representatives from each form sit on the Committee together with the Headmaster, a teacher, and a governor. Meetings are held at least once a term and many social events are organised such as a Pre-Prep Party, Bring and Share suppers, a Christmas Fair, and a summer drinks evening in New College cloisters. Some social events for the boys are planned jointly with local girls' schools.
The Parents' Association provides invaluable support to help finance a number of projects and items of equipment to enhance NCS life. If you would like to support their fund-raising efforts, please consider making a donation. Cheques can be made payable to ‘New College School Parents' Association’; gift aid forms are available below or from the School Office.
