Year 3 at the Ashmolean
Year 3 visited the Ancient Middle East gallery to consolidate their learning on the great civilisation of Ancient Sumer.
Incredible ancient artefacts were on show, from as early as 6,000BC, which included The King List showing cuneiform (the earliest form of writing) and jewellery discovered from what is thought to have been from a mass sacrificial burial ground. The boys loved exploring the artefacts and learning how the Sumerians lived. We are so lucky at NCS to have these opportunities on our doorstep, a mere 10-minute walk away.
