Oxford Chamber Music Festival
Musicians from Year 7 and 8 attended the opening concert of this year's Oxford Chamber Music Festival
Musicians from Year 7 and 8 attended the opening concert of this year's Oxford Chamber Music Festival in the Sheldonian Theatre- an eclectic mix of the new and the old (and the improvised!) aimed at an audience of local school children. They heard a piece for theremin and loop station (strange but wonderful), a snare drum solo played by the amazing (and deaf) Dame Evelyn Glennie, an improvised piece for strings and audience (great fun) and Vaughan Williams's Fantasia on a theme by Thomas Tallis (utterly beautiful and wonderful). The boys loved it.
