Year 4 Tudor Workshop
The renowned Bate Collection at the University's Music Faculty proved to be a highlight of Year 4's study of Tudor Music this term.
The boys were given opportunities to play lutes, crumhorns, sackbuts and a viol, and also had the chance to look at the various historical instruments in the Collection including a keyboard once played by Handel. It was an excellent chance to be transported to a time in the past when instruments were far lighter and less complicated and when music sounded completely different.
