TEDxNCS
The Year 8 and 8S boys spent a year, on and off , working on their ‘special subject’ independent research projects.
The brief was simple: to choose an analytical topic of their choice (within reason), and to research and present on that topic towards the end of June. These ‘TEDxNCS’ talks have quickly become something of a tradition, and with the giant ‘TED’ letters behind them, the boys felt and looked the part as they gave their presentations. The topics this year spanned disciplines and interests, from space travel to the development of language, from the causes of the Russian Revolution to the evolution of hockey. The best ‘special subject’, chosen by the Warden, was presented with the Warden’s Medal at prizegiving.
