Eco Committee
Although we were restricted in our Eco Committee activities this year, we have remained very productive.
After we were allowed back into school the Eco Stationery Shop, run by Eco representatives throughout the year groups, was resurrected as a ‘delivery’ service. Pupils were able to give their orders to Year 5 pupils, in whose class the shop is temporarily based, and then goods were delivered to them after a suitable quarantine. Orders were steady. The waterproof stone paper notebooks were particularly popular and the range was extended to wooden toothbrushes. Litter picks were re-started and there was huge enthusiasm for this from the younger year groups. The Committee was very aware of the extra packaging caused by the necessary packed lunches in school, and continue to recycle and compost as much as possible. All Eco reps very much look forward to moving into the newly painted Eco Shop. Its permanence outside the Gym will make a huge difference and hopefully enable the shop to be open more often.
