Junior Mathematics Challenge
NCS once again participated in the Junior Mathematics Challenge, a national competition organised by the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust.
The challenge is open to Years 5-8 and we were particularly proud of the Year 5s and 6s who were not afraid to attempt questions way beyond their syllabus. This confidence will definitely help them in their future journeys as young mathematicians and we look forward to witnessing what they will achieve by the time they are in Years 7 and 8.
Special mention must be made of Yoav and Samuel in Year 5; Tristan, Ethan, Max, Monty and Thomas H in Year 6; Peter and Isaac in Year 7; and Cooper and Gary in Year 8. Peter achieved the honour of being top in the school. Seven boys received invites into the Kangaroo Round of the competition: Tristan, Ethan, Monty L, Isaac W, Peter K, Cooper and Gary. Congratulations and thank you to the almost sixty boys who participated!
