Despite performing in 31-degree heat, the boys showcased their outstanding singing and acting skills, encouraged by a wonderful set of boxing rings, speakeasies, forests and docks for a fun-fuelled show complete with silly-string fight-scenes. Everyone involved performed excellently, but there were unforgettable performances from the perfectly extrovert Joshua Brown (Fat Sam); the totally dependable and charming Ethan McMillan (Bugsy Malone); and the soulful and sassy Paddy Cryan (Blousey Brown). It required an enormous amount of hard work to pull off such a tricky and involved show but it was worth every minute. We’ll all treasure those memories forever. MS
